New light bar shines at International Association of Police Chiefs annual conference

Toledo, OH, November 13, 2008: D.R. Ebel will add the new Defender Light Bar to their product line in early spring of 2009.

The Code 3 defender lightbar, which made its debut recently at the annual meeting of the International Association of Police Chiefs, features patent-pending TriCore technology that creates a light two times brighter than any other warning light on the market.

The TriCore technology in the Code 3 defender light bar also maintains an unprecedented 360 degrees of visibility, unlike traditional LED light bars which lose light at key angles. Alley lights on the Code 3 Defender light bar are 1.5 to 2 times brighter than the current 55 watt halogen lights currently available. Additionally, the Defender light bar offers a high degree of configurability, flexibility and control, and is also less expensive and easier to maintain that traditional light bars.

The light bar won’t be available for purchase until early spring of 2009, but 5 prototypes have been created for demonstration purposes. D.R. Ebel may possibly receive one to use for demonstrations for departments throughout the Ohio region.

Kustom Signals only available through certified police installers, direct sales

Toledo, OH, November 13, 2008:  D.R. Ebel’s three-year state contract for Kustom Signals laser traffic enforcement products has been extended through 2009.

The state contract ensures a low price on Kustom Signals equipment and frees departments from having to put out bids. D.R. Ebel is the licensed vendor for the contract.

Kustom Signals, whose products were once only available through direct sales, began making their equipment available through certified police installers in 2005. D. R. Ebel is one of the 15 original installers permitted to sell and install Kustom Signals products.

D. R. Ebel is a master warehouse distributor for Kustom Signals products, and in addition to laser and radar traffic control equipment, other Kustom Signals products available at www.drebel.com include in-car cameras for patrol cars, controllers and monitors for the cameras, speed trailers and speed displays. New website helps police and fire departments find equipment and supplies

Toledo, OH, November 13, 2008:  D.R. Ebel has launched a new website, www.drebel.com.

First launched in 1998, the new site went live in February 2008 aimed at better serving the demands for police and fire equipment in the Northwest Ohio region. At www.drebel.com, police and fire personnel can locate equipment and supplies needed for daily operations.

Dr. Ebel stocks a variety of police and fire equipment from batons and beacons to laser traffic enforcement systems and lightbars. 

Municipalities will find an assortment of hard-to-find Whelen replacement bulbs. The website is structured so that one can search by new part number, original part number or picture. The Whelen inventory is updated regularly, and in most cases, orders can be shipped the day of receipt.

The new site also features the latest news from IAFF, Snow Magazine and Policeone Product.

New clearance specials and new products are posted regularly, and free shipping is available on orders of $49.99 or more until December 31, 2008.

Installation services are available. D.R. Ebel is a certified police installer (PI), part of a select group, hand-picked by Public Safety Equipment, Inc.
