Dash LED’s

Covert and undercover vehicles need to keep a low-profile, but in emergency situations, they need to have the ability to warn other motorists that potentially dangerous activity is happening in their vicinity. Traditional roof-mounted light bars are not conducive to maintain the low-profile necessary to keep cover intact, but low profile dash LED’s allow the vehicle to remain inconspicuous, but deliver warnings when necessary.

The Whelen SlimLighter Dash LED is very low-profile, but packed with value-added features like twenty-one scan-lock selectable flash patterns, a built-in on-off pattern switch, and multi-directional light out-put. This particular dash LED model is suction cup mounted to the windshield and plugs into the vehicle’s electrical port for easy set-up and take down, making it a great choice for multi-purpose vehicles.

Color combinations available in this dash LED include amber/amber, amber/red, red/red, red/blue, amber/white, blue/blue and red/white, so it’s suitable for a variety of vehicle makes and models.

Other suction-mount dash LED models include the Code 3 LED XT4 Dash Light and the Code 3 LED XT6 Dash Light. These dash LEDs feature retractable guards on the ends of the housing and a visor to prevent light from flashing into the driver’s eyes. The visor also allows the unit to fit snuggly against the windshield for the lowest possible profile. Both dash LED’s have a 12 inch lighter plug cable, perfect for temporary installation and easy transfer to another vehicle. They come in a variety of color combinations, including red/white, red/amber, red/blue, red/red, amber/amber and amber white, but while the XT4 unit is 1 and ½ inches short than the XT6 unit, both dash LED’s feature 22 flash patterns.

This dash LED is small, but bright. Measuring just 4 inches by 3 and ½ inches, the 12 volt, 4 amp draw light reflects off a standard 5-flash mirror for multi-directional light out-put.
